Bhopal: The State Cabinet here on Wednesday granted in-principle approval for the formation of three new districts of Chachoda, Maihar and Nagda in the state. Administrative and financial approval of Rs 125.89 crore for installation of CCTV cameras with audio recording in all subordinate courts of Madhya Pradesh High Court has been granted in the Cabinet meeting in Mantralya under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Kamal Nath. This project will be allotted after being divided into three parts that is Rs 40 crore for the first year 2020-21, Rs 50 crore for the second year 2021-22 and an allocation of Rs 35.89 crore for the third year 2022-23.
According to the decision of the Cabinet, before the project is implemented in all the courts of Madhya Pradesh, it will be implemented first in the courts of Jabalpur district (District and Tehsil Courts) after which cameras will be installed as per proposal. After the success of CCTV operation here, CCTV cameras will be installed in the courts of other districts of the state.
The Cabinet has decided to grant free government guarantee of Rs 26000 for the financial year 2020-21 to the Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation for procurement of food grains under the Decentralized Procurement Scheme in the state, operation of public distribution system and other government schemes, fulfillment of deficit and continuation of the current ongoing financial system to borrow money from nationalized / scheduled / District Cooperative Central Bank / NABARD and public financial institutions. Besides, it was also decided that RBI’s Food Credit Limit, which has a higher rate of interest, would be obtained if a higher amount is required for procurement.
The Cabinet, in pursuance of the order given by the Supreme Court in connection with the Sardar Sarovar Project, decided to extend the contractual appointment period of Retired High Court Judge Shambhu Singh, Syed Ali Naqvi, IS Shrivastava, SL Jain and SS Dwivedi from 1 April, 2020 to 31 March, 2021 subject to pre-determined conditions or till the matter is resolved (whichever is earlier).
The Cabinet decided to extend the contractual period of Retired Indian Administrative Service officer Vinod Semwal and Arun Kochar for the post of Member (Administrative) and Retired District and Sessions Judge Abdul Jabbar Khan for the post of Member (Judicial) from 1 April, 2020 to 31 March, 2021 or till the disposal of cases (whichever is earlier) in the Grievance Redressal Authority for Narmada Package Projects. Similarly, it was decided to extend the contractual appointment period of retired Indian Administrative Service officer Chaturbhuj Singh till 31 December 2020 or till the disposal of cases (whichever is earlier). The Cabinet granted contractual appointment to Retired District and Sessions Judge Tarkeshwar Singh for the post of Member (Judicial) for one year from the date of joining in Grievance Redressal Authority (Narmada Package Projects) or up to the tenure of Grievance Redressal Authority whichever is earlier.
