Bhopal: As many as 851 schools have achieved the gold medal champion level in the Skill Upgradation Programme conducted by the Rajya Shiksha Kendra in government schools of the state. The names of these schools will be displayed on the Wall of Fame of the Rajya Shiksha Kendra. The district wise list of these schools is available on the ‘Vimarsh’ portal of the Rajya Shiksha Kendra. Awards will be given to these schools.
These schools include 82 of Bhopal division, 107 of Indore, 119 of Ujjain, 34 of Rewa, 72 of Sagar, 104 of Hoshangabad, 52 of Gwalior, 47 of Shahdol, 49 of Morena (Chambal) and 185 of Jabalpur division.
Three levels have been set to honour the schools on the ‘Wall of Fame’ from the state level under the Skill Upgradation Programme. Gold medal champion level certificate will be given to those schools where 90 percent of students achieving the highest level of basic skills in language and mathematics, silver medal champion level to those schools where 75 percent students achieving the highest level of basic skills in language and mathematics and bronze champion level certificate will be given to those school where 60 percent of students achieving the highest level of basic skills in language and mathematics. Schools that qualify for these three medals will be awarded at the state, district and block levels respectively.
The highest levels of basic language and math proficiency are tested on the basis of baseline, midline, and endline tests in the school. The list of Golden Champion, Silver Champion and Bronze Champion schools will be released thrice in a year. The first list will be released before September 30, the second list before December 31 and the third list before March 31.
