Bhopal: Availability of land, minerals and facilities have created investment atmosphere in the state. In the last financial year, 48,179 micro, small and medium enterprises are registered in the state. It is two and halftime more in comparison over last year. Principal Secretary MSME VL Kantarao informed that Industry Promotion Policy -2014 has been implemented in order to make the state leading in the industrial sector, to boost industrial competition, to maintain industrial friendly policy and to boost investment of private sector. MSME department has been constituted to make micro, small and medium industries capable.

In order to provide land soon to set up industry as per the demand of the investors, land bank of around 25,000 hectare government land in all the districts of the state has been maintained. More than 15 thousand hectare land has been developed for micro, small and medium industries in 250 industrial areas/ Development Centers.

A transparent and simple online allotment provision has been made to provide land. New industrial areas will be developed in industrial area less districts. Under this, sanction has been given for development of new industrial areas at Ashok Nagar, Anuppur and Umaria.

Facility of 100 percent land transfer will be given for revival/exit to sick and closed units which have cases pending in courts since last many years. As per the announcement made by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan the maximum slab rate of 90 per cent has been increased to 95 percent towards rebate given on area of land to be allotted and land value. Permission to sale 50 per cent land is given to revive sick/closed units. These facilities will be applicable for sick/closed units before April 1, 2015.

For lease holders prior to April 1, 2015, land lease will remain effective as per the lease regulations. In case of transfer of unit, new rules will become effective. In case of advance deposit of lease amount for 15 years, the remaining fifteen years land lease amount will be exempted for thirty years lease holders. An option of 30 and 99 years lease period will be given to the lease holders.

Re-assessment orders under diversion will be issued within one month to set up MSME units at their own land. These provisions by bringing under the public service guarantee services will facilitate MSME units under the prescribed period.
