Bhopal: As many as 2.86 crore Aadhar cards obtained from members of eligible families targeted under Public Distribution System have been registered online. The Food and Civil Supplies Department has launched the Aadhar Aapki Pehchan Abhyiyan for online entries of remaining 2.48 crore members out of total eligible 5.34 crore population. A target has been set to make cent percent online entries of eligible members by February end under the campaign. Ration is being distributed to 5.34 crore eligible people of the state on discounted rates under the National Food Protection Act 2013 through POS machines. These machines are connected by the State’s NIC server. Under this system, the data of Public Distribution System is available online.

Aadhar entries of 87 per cent members eligible under Public Distribution System in Dindori district have been made as per figured obtained in January. Also more than 70 per cent aadhar registrations have been made online in Hoshangabad, Burhanpur and Narsinghpur.

NIC has given a list of the aadhar entries of members of eligible families as on January 31 to the Food Department. The Food Department has issued instructions to register aadhar entries online after obtaining aadhar photocopy from ration shops without aadhar after sending the list to all district food officials. The work of registration of aadhar entries will be carried out from February 14 to 25.
